In an Initiative Aimed at Raising Awareness Among New Students, the College of Architecture Organizes an Orientation Meeting for Students and Parents

As part of an initiative to introduce new students to their academic journey, the Office of the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the College of Architecture, in collaboration with the Architecture Student Committee, organized an orientation meeting on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the college campus in Adailiya. The event was attended by a number of academic figures and parents.

Participating in the event were the Acting Dean of the College, Dr. Adel Al-Mu’min, along with Dr. Omar Khattab, Acting Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and the heads of academic departments: Dr. Mohammad Sadeq, Dr. Ammar Behbehani, Dr. Sarah Al-Falah, and Dr. Talal Al-Kandari. Faculty members, administrative staff, and the Architecture Student Association also took part in the event.

The orientation included a comprehensive overview of the college's majors, as well as an explanation of the criteria and process for choosing a specialization. Students were also guided on how to develop an effective academic plan to enhance their chances of success.

In his speech, Dr. Adel Al-Mu’min welcomed the attendees and emphasized the status of Kuwait University as a trusted academic destination, highlighting its forward-looking vision and ability to meet students’ aspirations.

The department heads presented the academic programs offered, stressing that the college environment extends beyond theoretical lectures to include hands-on applications and direct interaction with faculty and peers, aligning with the demands of the job market.

The meeting concluded with an open Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and clarify concerns, with the aim of supporting students and equipping them with the information needed for a clear and confident start to their university journey.
