About

The Academic Performance and Accreditation Unit was officially designated in 2018 based on the new organizational structure approved by Kuwait University. The unit is under the umbrella of the Office of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research and Graduate Studies and operates as a quality control and measure for academic performance with an end goal for academic accreditation or equivalent of all its scientific programs.

Kuwait University, College of Architecture, Department of Architecture has received the Substantial Equivalency designation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board for the following professional degree program or sequence:

Bachelor of Architecture – 2016

To maintain a leadership position in academic performance in the Gulf region

Objectives

Achieve academic accreditation or equivalent for all scientific programs at the College

Maintain direct contact with the accreditation boards for all scientific programs

Produce annual progress reports on academic performance

Provide statistics on the academic performance for all scientific programs

Provide statistics on student academic performance with the help of Kuwait University Center for Evaluation and Measurement

Produce annual progress reports on the performance of the unit

Prepare reports for accreditation boards

Prepare workshops on academic accreditation

Supervise the accreditation process for all scientific departments

Annual reviews of major sheets for all scientific programs

Review and update the vision and mission statements for the College

Prepare strategies and budgets for program accreditation

Represent the College in scientific missions and conference on accreditation and academic performance

The main coordinator between the College and Kuwait University’s Office for Academic Affairs
