The College of Architecture at Kuwait University, established in 2010, comprises two main departments. The Department of Architecture, founded in 1996 under the College of Engineering and Petroleum, and the Department of “Arts and Design,” which began in 2003 under the University College for Women, later renamed the Department of “Communication Design and Interiors.” This establishment marked the College of Architecture as Kuwait's first institution dedicated to specializing in architecture and design, with a focus on nurturing and advancing these fields within the country.
The College has set forth four key objectives:


1.    To provide a high-quality, world-class education aimed at cultivating professional and innovative architects and designers. These graduates are envisioned to positively contribute to the local and international communities.
2.    To actively participate in scientific research and global dialogues, advancing the fields of architecture and design. This involves publishing in prestigious scientific journals, securing patents, and playing a pivotal role in enriching the nation's knowledge economy.
3.    To serve the community by developing effective architectural and design solutions. Leveraging cutting-edge discoveries in architecture and design sciences, the College aims to elevate the quality and efficiency of human life and the environment.
4.    To disseminate the knowledge, skills, and cultural aspects of architectural and design specializations, the College is committed to promoting these disciplines within society, emphasizing their vital and dynamic role in enhancing communal life.
