We critically review and explore the conceptual practice “knowledge of how to do things” from a communication design grammar perspective. In a field dominated by objectivity, students translate invisible concepts into tangible forms “full of meaning” through research-driven design projects for intentional targeted audiences.

Program Mission | Contemporary visual communication is a dynamic, interactive problem-solving process. The undergraduate program in Visual Communications Design helps students create emotional and intellectual dialogues as processes of communication between the visual languages of design production. The objective of this program is to increase students’ knowledge and ability; sharpening students’ logical reasoning and perception to further mature their objectivity in thinking. The program aims to aid students’ understanding of theories of culture, building their concepts and developing skills in procedures to empower them with strategic knowledge, techniques, materials, and mind tools. |
Life after graduation | Visual Communication designers produce through industrial resources and, she/he will find career opportunities in both the government and the private sectors in Kuwait. Kuwait Ministries hire Visual Communication designers for jobs involving designs for information, education, persuasion, administration, design production, and design consultancy. Jobs in the private sector are offered through in-house designs for businesses, organizations, agencies, hospitals, banks, and, service productions. Just as important, Visual Communication designers can also be entrepreneurs and freelancers.
